Tigger 2 Royale Private Catamaran Charter

Tigger 2 Royale is a 55 ft (17 m) power catamaran built in 2008, and the vessel we suggest when a private yacht charter in Cape Town has to carry a large party in comfort. She takes up to 65 guests, cruises at 12 to 16 knots and sails with a crew of four to five.

Who she suits

Weddings, year-end functions, product launches and milestone birthdays: Tigger 2 Royale is built for events. Her enclosed main deck seats 40 for a plated meal and handles up to 65 for a buffet or canapes, so the party carries on if the weather turns.

On board

The main saloon has a dining area and a cash bar, and an upper lounge can be set as a second dining space. A 42 inch screen with DStv, a DVD player and a PC connection make presentations possible at anchor. Up top, the flybridge seats about 25 in the open air, and there is a braai on board.

What a private charter looks like

Charters depart from the V&A Waterfront. Two- and three-hour cruises take in Table Mountain, Clifton and Robben Island when conditions allow, while five hours or more leaves time to anchor off Clifton 4th Beach for swimming. A two-hour sunset cruise is also available.
