At 85 ft (25 m), Princess Emma is the largest motor yacht we offer for private yacht charters in Cape Town. Built by Princess Yachts in the UK in 2006, she cruises at 17 knots with a top speed of around 30 knots, and every booking is exclusive to your group and a crew of three to four.

Who she suits

Princess Emma is a fit for guests who want space and privacy on a smaller guest list: up to 12 people during the day, or 8 overnight. Couples, families and executive groups use her for anniversaries, proposals, client hosting and relaxed days at anchor.

On board

Four en-suite cabins, each with its own air-conditioning, sit below two saloons finished in rosewood and cherry. Outside there is an aft deck laid for eight at the table, a swim platform at water level, and sun loungers on the flybridge and foredeck. A galley, braai, free Wi-Fi and a sound system are on board too.

Routes from the V&A Waterfront

A three-hour charter usually runs out to Clifton, where the yacht anchors for sun and a swim. With more hours, Princess Emma has the range for Hout Bay, Robben Island or a longer run up the West Coast, and her sunset charter frames Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles at last light. Jet skis and inflatable stand-up paddleboards can be added for full-day trips.

Overnight on Princess Emma

For an overnight private yacht charter, guests spend the evening in the marina at the V&A Waterfront, close to its restaurants, sleep on board and enjoy breakfast before going ashore.
