Motor Yacht Topaz is a 60 ft (18 m) Princess V58 built in Plymouth, England, and available for private yacht charters from the V&A Waterfront. Twin Volvo Penta engines give her a cruising speed of about 22 knots, and her electric hard-top opens the cockpit to the sky on a warm Cape Town day.

Who she suits

Topaz is licensed for up to 12 guests, and she is at her most comfortable with around 8 for a seated meal. That makes her a good choice for a celebration with close friends, a small corporate outing or a family day on the water.

On board

Below deck are three cabins and two bathrooms, a galley and two lounge areas. There is a bar, three TVs with a professional sound system, two sun loungers and free Wi-Fi. A 3.8 m Williams jet tender travels with the yacht, and inflatable stand-up paddleboards and jet skis can be added.

What a private charter looks like

A two-hour bay cruise heads towards Granger Bay and Mouille Point, with the exact route set by the skipper for the wind on the day. Longer charters can anchor in a sheltered spot for the day, follow the coastline, or head further offshore. Topaz is booked for day charters only; she is not available overnight.
